At Impact we provide
the following services:
Family
Mediation for couples experiencing divorce or separation -
We provide mediation through the LSC public funding scheme to assist
couples going though separation or divorce with the aim of preventing
the trauma and delay sometimes associated with the court system.
Normally
there are between two and three mediation appointments for Child
Only Cases and between four and five mediation appointments for
All Issues Mediation (child contact, property/finance) cases or
Property & Finance cases. Each appointment lasts approximately
1.5 hours.
Anti Bullying Service
–
A prevention strategy to address the issues of bullying
in our schools and the work place.
Peer mediation -
A year 5 school based project with
children of 9/10yrs. A unique model of mediation between children
of the same age that equips them with the knowledge and skills to
become mediators and to resolve everyday issues between themselves
in a structured and supportive environment. We have used an established model and continued
to develop it as part of the Anti Bullying prevention services.
It is a model that can be adapted for children of all ages.
Parent/School mediation
-
Specialist mediation – age appropriate, in the workplace.
Advice & Information sessions – what to tell the children,
where to go next.
Direct consultation with children –
ensuring that the voice of the child is heard in any situation.
Child Contact Centres
–
We provide a venue and a safe welcoming child friendly
environment for children to meet with an absent parent or relative.
Training
–
We can provide a range of training services for individuals,
couples, agencies, professionals and practitioners in conflict resolution,
domestic violence, confidence building and assertiveness.
